Acceptable Usage Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) specifies the actions prohibited by LinuxMeta (“LinuxMeta.com”). LinuxMeta reserves the right to modify the AUP at any time, effective upon posting of the new AUP to this page.

A) Complaints & Disputes

  1. All abuse complaints and disputes on issues not listed in our AUP will be dealt with according to the law of the state.

B) Offenses

  1. Threatening harm to persons or property or otherwise harassing behavior.
  2. Transmission, distribution or storage of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  3. Failure to provide complete, truthful and accurate information regarding the customer’s identity and locations as requested.

C) Security

  1. You are responsible for any misuse of your server, even if the inappropriate activity was committed by a friend, family member, guest or employee. Therefore, you must take steps to ensure that others do not gain access to your account. In addition, you may not use your account to breach security of another server or attempt to gain unauthorized access to another network or server.
  2. You must adopt adequate security measures to prevent or minimize unauthorized use of your server.
  3. You are ultimately responsible for making sure that your server is secured, and that no root kits or viruses are on your server.

D) DDoS Attacks

  1. If your server at anytime engages on ddos attacks, your server is in violation of this policy.
  2. Deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks is not allowed.

E) Phishing Schemes

  1. Hosting of phishing or bank page on our server or network will cause the server to be suspended.
  2. We dont allow use of server to commit fraud which including and not limiting to fake investment websites, speculation websites, fake banks and investment institution.

F) Pyramid Schemes

  1. Pyramid schemes are unsustainable and often illegal, due to which we do not allow them on our servers.

G) Hate Speech & Content

  1. We don’t allow content on our network that promotes Hate Speech.
  2. Hate Propaganda (Including but not limited to Racial, Governmental) is not allowed.
  3. Warez Downloads or discussions related to the promotion of piracy is not allowed.
  4. Any content in violation of Federal, State, Provincial Law may cause your server to suspend.
  5. Discussions of doing, selling or how to obtain illicit drugs is not allowed.
  6. Discussions and/or promotion of Terrorism or Terrorist activity is not allowed.
  7. Using our service for the sale of Human body parts or remains is not allowed.
  8. Using our service to facilitate the sale of stolen property is not allowed.

H) Unauthorized Monitoring

  1. Unauthorized monitoring of data or traffic on any network or system without express authorization of the owner of the system or network is not allowed.

I) Adult Content

  1. Under no circumstance is adult content permitted. All adult oriented pictures, videos, links, written content and similar is strictly prohibited.
  2. Depictions of nudity or sexual activity obtained or disseminated with or without the consent of those depicted is strictly prohibited.

J) Child Pornography

  1. When made aware of child pornography images, we will act expeditiously to remove any such images, and we will report such images to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
  2. We reserve the right to take any other actions, including cooperation with relevant law enforcement agencies, to assist them in identifying and prosecuting individuals who are involved in the transmission or dissemination of images containing child pornography.

K) Spamhaus Block List

  1. LinuxMeta does not tolerate any behavior that is related to any activity that results in a listing with Spamhaus or the SBL, XBL, PBL, DBL and DROP Advisory lists.
  2. If the issue remains outstanding for an unacceptable timeframe we reserve the right to reclaim the effected IP address space without notice.

L) Forging

  1. Forging of any TCP-IP packet header or any part of the header information in an email or a newsgroup posting.

M) Illegal Activities

  1. Engaging in activities that are determined to be illegal, including, but not limited to, advertising, transmitting or otherwise making available ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, fraudulently charging credit cards and pirating software is not allowed.

N) Violation

  1. LinuxMeta, in its sole discretion, will determine what action will be taken in response to a violation of this AUP on a case-by-case basis. We may block access at the router level to the server involved. We may involve and will also fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities in investigating suspected lawbreakers. We have no obligation to provide warnings under any circumstances and can terminate the customer’s account without prior notice if the customer violates this policy.

O) Reserve Rights

  1. We reserve the right to modify this AUP at any time without notice. Customer is responsible for all use of the Services by itself, its employees, agents, contractors, invitees and customers, whether such use is with or without the consent of Customer. LinuxMeta can require a signed copy of this documents.
